Introduction
It requires UL certification like UL 1741 for inverters and UL 1973 for batteries. For facilities covered by the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting requirements in Sections 311-312, the Tier II report, also called Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory report, is due by March 1, 2025. Tier II reporting is used by the EPA to track and enforce rules related to the storing of hazardous materials in your facility. Housing hazardous chemicals in your facility can pose an immense risk to your workers, the environment, and surrounding communities. Permitting and inspection are required before a solar array is allowed to produce electricity on the grid. The Proposed Action In this action, the CEC is proposing guidelines for Residential Solar Permit Reporting (“Proposed Guidelines”) as required by SB 379, and as subsequently codified in Government Code section 65850.
