Introduction

Due to the anodic oxidation of the Pb plate, the Pb connected to the anode side in an electrolytic cell is oxidized to PbO 2, which acts as the positive active material (PAM). New advanced lead carbon battery technology makes partial state of charge (PSoC) operation possible, increasing battery life and cycle counts for lead based batteries.
