Led by TotalEnergies and Holcim Belgium, the project will deploy 55,000 photovoltaic panels on advanced floating structures across the site’s former quarries, delivering a total capacity of 31 MWp. Ostenweg is proud to support a landmark initiative in Europe’s energy transition: the floating solar park at Holcim’s cement plant in Obourg, Belgium. With the energy company AES, we are building a photovoltaic park of more than 39,000 solar panels within our El Ronco plant, located in Metapán, El Salvador. From 2023, this park will generate 17 MW peak of clean power, supplying 21% of the electricity required by the plant. From innovative low-emission raw materials and recycled decarbonized cement paste, to fossil fuel-free energy and green mobility, to advanced technologies such as carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS). APR Energy designed, built, and commissioned a 60MW temporary power plant to help the Peruvian government alleviate its power supply constraints. Prior to the installation of the diesel power modules, our engineering and operations teams performed.
