Introduction
In this article, the performance of a solar-powered multi-purpose supply container used as a service module for first-aid, showering, freezing, refrigeration and water generation purposes in areas of social emergency is analyzed. Emergency Power Containers, also referred to as containerized solar energy systems or foldable PV storage containers, have become the go-to solution for disaster recovery zones, off-grid campuses, and mobile telecom networks. Using solar cells to generate electricity provides immediate assistance as well as long-term relief in times of crisis. Portable PV gensets are virtually silent,safe to operate,and environmentally benign;they are also highly reliable. So, how exactly do solar containers assist disaster relief missions, particularly in the aftermath of earthquakes? And how do they stack up against conventional generators or diesel-powered backup systems? This article examines the role of solar containers in earthquake response, their deployment. It utilizes solar and wind energy resources which make it usable in any location.
