Introduction
On 19 June 2025, NamPower officially commenced construction of the 100 MW Sores |Gaib Solar PV Power Station, marking its largest solar power project to date. The groundbreaking ceremony took place near Rosh Pinah, approximately 33 kilometers northwest of the town. The project will significantly boost the country’s renewable energy capacity and reduce its reliance on electricity imports.
