Introduction
We are planning a pumped storage hydropower station with a capacity of approximately 500 megawatts (MW) in Kemijärvi, Northern Finland, which would enable electricity storage for up to a week. New hydroelectricity accelerates Finland’s energy transition and secures the uninterrupted flow of society’s everyday life.
