Introduction
The charging and discharging speed of a BESS is denoted by its C-rate, which relates the current to the battery’s capacity. The C-rate is a critical factor influencing how quickly a battery can be charged or discharged without compromising its performance or lifespan. Battery storage is a technology that enables power system operators and utilities to store energy for later use. • Lead-acid batteries: Traditional and cost-effective, though less efficient than newer technologies. The solution adopts Elecod 125kW ESS power module and supports 15 sets in parallel in on-grid mode and 4 sets in parallel in off-grid mode. For me and my limited time, an offer from Pecron for a solution that would do all of that for me sounded perfect, so I went with Pecron’s.
