Introduction
This capacitor creates a temporary phase shift in the electrical supply, generating a stronger rotating magnetic field to initiate motor operation. An induction-type AC electric motor system has a variable frequency motor (VFD) drive having at least two outputs, the VFD drive coupled to be powered by a solar input and to power the motor with a switching device in a first setting. A capacitor motor is a split-phase induction motor where the starting winding of this motor has a capacitor that is connected in series with it. Oriental Motor's AC motors designed for a single-phase power supply are all permanent-split capacitor motors.
