Introduction

Construction was completed in January 2022, with the plant having an installed capacity of 607 MW and an annual power generation of 1,598 GWh, which can meet the annual electricity consumption of 50,000 local households and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 340,000 metric. So far, we have conducted calculations to evaluate the solar photovoltaic (PV) potential in 9 locations across Oman. This analysis provides insights into each city/location's potential for harnessing solar energy through PV installations. A battery energy storage system (BESS) or battery storage power station is a type of energy storage technology that us te of this PV plant has been higher than 10 %. Pre-fabricated containerized solutions now account for approximately 35% of all new utility-scale storage deployments worldwide. Especially in remote areas it can guarantee a stable energy supplan integral part of Oman's commitment to renewable energy.
