Solar container field in the first half of the year

When combined with storage, 82% of new capacity in H1 2025 came from solar or solar plus storage. Solar represented 75% of grid capacity additions in the first half, followed distantly by wind and natural gas, said new data from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Growth is driven by the rising adoption of off-grid and hybrid power solutions, especially in remote, disaster-prone, and developing. Solar is the fastest-growing source of electricity worldwide, and the buildout continues to gain pace, year after year.
