Introduction
The advantageous characteristic of PCMs is their low melting point, facilitating efficient heat storage and retrieval through latent heat of vaporization. To store renewable energy, superior thermal properties of advanced materials such as phase change materials are essentially required to enhance maximum utilization of solar energy and for improvement of energy and exergy efficiency of the solar absorbing system. The current interest in thermal energy storage is connected with increasing the efficiency of conventional fuel-dependent systems by storing the waste heat in low consumption periods, as well as with harvesting renewable energy sources with intermittent character.
